On June 27, 2026, Monica Peters: owner of Hebert Design Werks and past president of the Rotary Club of Whittier was inducted as governor of Rotary District 5320. District 5320
begins in Whittier, follows the 605 freeway to Long Beach. Then it heads east and
encompasses all of Orange County with the inclusion of Catalina, a total of 48 clubs.
She will hold the position of governor for one year. Her primary duties are to inspire,
strengthen, and support Rotary clubs, manage district operations, and promote the
organization’s global service goals.
Monica joined Rotary in 2014 and describes it as one of the most important decisions of her life. Raised in rural Illinois as the youngest of eleven children, she built a successful career in advertising design, the sign industry, and later as a general contractor specializing in interior renovations.
A dedicated Rotarian and longtime Chamber of Commerce member, Monica has used her leadership, community relationships, and passion for service to make a lasting impact both professionally and through Rotary.
As Monica shares, “It is a privilege to be part of an organization that has such a positive and lasting effect on the world.”
On January 1, 2027, she will help represent that spirit of service as a Rotary Rose Parade Float Rider.
