Partnerships Throughout Whittier
Across Whittier, innovative partnerships between businesses, nonprofit organizations, and school districts are transforming after-school programs and enriching students’ educational experiences. This collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club, Mike Seril with MSF Fitness, RMH Dance, and the YMCA are addressing critical needs such as academic support, mental health resources, and enrichment opportunities for thousands of students in the Greater Whittier Area. By combining their unique strengths, these partners are creating engaging and inclusive environments where students can thrive long after the final school bell rings.
In El Rancho, EWCSD, Little Lake, Los Nietos, South Whittier, Whittier City, and Whittier Union school districts, local businesses are stepping in to offer unprecedented opportunities for students to experience coding, dance, theater, sports, science camps, along with academic support before school, after school as well as during Spring and Winter breaks.
Throughout our community, school districts serve as the coordinating hub for these efforts, ensuring that programs align with academic goals and community needs. By leveraging public facilities and data, schools help partners target their support effectively. These alliances not only bolster academic outcomes but also reduce inequities by expanding access to enriching experiences. These partnerships are clear examples of how intentional efforts within the Chamber have the potential to uplift students and strengthen neighborhoods.
