Community Leaders Tee Off for Special Olympics Athletes at Friendly Hills Country Club
Local business and community leaders are invited to participate in the SOLA Lions Club Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Friendly Hills Country Club. This premier event brings together business owners, civic leaders, and community members for a full day of championship golf in support of Special Olympics athletes.
Proceeds from the tournament help fund competitions, uniforms, equipment, and year-round inclusive programming for athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the region. The event offers a meaningful opportunity for companies to align their brand with inclusion and community impact while engaging directly with fellow business professionals.
“Each year, this tournament reminds us how powerful our business community can be when we come together for a purpose,” said Susan Sones, Chair of the SOLA Lions Charity Golf Tournament. “Every sponsor, every golfer, and every partner helps create opportunities for Special Olympics athletes to compete, grow, and be celebrated. We are proud to host this event at Friendly Hills and invite our local business leaders to join us.”
Golfer registration is now open for individuals and foursomes. Sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are also available, offering on-course signage, digital recognition, and direct visibility among Whittier’s business community. Early registration is encouraged, as the tournament traditionally reaches capacity.
