SOLA Lions Club: Ribbon Cutting: Portable Bocce Court for Whittier Special Olympics Athletes
The SOLA Lions Club invites the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating a new portable bocce ball court system supporting Special Olympics athletes in Whittier.
Funded through a matching grant from the California Lions Foundation, the court will provide a regulation-size playing surface at Michigan Park for two local teams — The Backstreet Bocce Boys and The Bocce Bunch — as they begin spring practices.
