DESCRIPTION:Student Fundraiser: The Rio Hondo College Foundation's mission is to secure financial assistance for scholarships\, programs\, equipment\, and projects which meet the need of the College's diverse student population. This need has never been greater than in the last few months. Like each of you\, our lives have been dramatically changed and these changes have been challenging for all of us. It is even more so for our students at Rio Hondo College\, many of whom are also parents\, possibly supporting a family\, and working\, if their jobs haven't disappeared due to the COVID-19 crisis. Our students are faced with homelessness or housing insecurities\, food scarcity (hunger)\, digital divide (technology needs)\, and increased stress whether it be physical\, emotional and/or psychological. This is where we are seeking your help\; we have established a Student Relief Fund to aid students during this COVID-19 pandemic\, #RioCares. The Student Relief Fund will help meet the needs of our students and we need community partnerships to reach our goals. Be assured that 100% of funds raised will be directed to student needs.
