DESCRIPTION:Explore the night sky with our Meade 16-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope\, one of the largest telescopes in Southern California.\n \n\n\nImportant Details:\n\n \n\n\n The event is weather-dependent\; clouds or rain will cancel.\n Arrive 10-15 minutes early. Park in Lot C and meet at the Child Development Center gate to walk up as a group.\n Late arrivals can walk up on their own.\n The uphill walk is a moderate mile on a paved road. Wear comfortable shoes and pace yourself.\n No restrooms\, vending machines\, or water fountains at the observatory. Bring your own drinks and snacks\, and please do not litter.\n Keep the observatory dark\; flashlights are only needed for the walk down. No flash photography.\n The campus is a designated "Wildlife Habitat." Stay alert for wildlife.\n No pets or smoking allowed due to fire danger\, including e-cigarettes.\n\n\n \n\nEnjoy a night under the stars with us!
