DESCRIPTION:The ECF Art Centers are pleased to present From the Archive\, the inaugural exhibition at Suite 300 Gallery & Zine Library connected to the ECF Art Center Whittier.  From the Archive will showcase a selection of works from the archives of ECF's five progressive art studios and include work by prolific artists throughout ECF Art Center's history.  The exhibition will include interactive sketchbook art\, works on paper\, digital art videos\, and a colorful mural.  Zines created at the ECF Art Centers as well as collected from progressive studios will also be on view.  From the Archive is co-curated by ECF Artist\, Maurice Isaac from the Downtown LA studio and Program Director\, Adriane Mota.\n\n\n\nSince 1968\, the ECF Art Centers have provided adults with developmental disabilities a place to explore their creativity and freedom of expression. At ECF's five art studios located across Los Angeles County\, artists with developmental disabilities are encouraged to communicate their personal and creative vision. Talented instructors provide artists with guidance in a variety of media\, including painting\, drawing\, printmaking\, digital art\, and ceramics. ECF's approach to mentorship and professional development in the arts has been the catalyst for hundreds of artists to achieve their personal and professional goals. .
