SUMMARY:Financial Boot Camp for Small Businesses WORKSHOP (Sponsored by: Friendly Hills Bank)
DESCRIPTION:Financial Boot Camp For Small Businesses (Sponsored by Friendly Hills Bank and in partnership with SBDC)\n\nA 4-part intensive online workshop series for small business owners\n\nOnly $20 for all 4 Workshops\n\n \n\nAre you a small business owner who needs to better understand the financial health of your company? Do you receive financial statements from your accountant and not understand what those documents are telling you about the condition of your business? Do you need more information about how to secure a loan? \n\n \n\nTo answer these questions (and many more)\, the Whittier Chamber of Commerce\, in partnership with the Long Beach Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Corporate Sponsor Friendly Hills Bank\, is offering a 4-part online workshop series\, beginning Monday\, May 16th.\n\n\n\nWeek 1: The Fundamentals of a Small Business (Session was recorded & available to registered attendees)\n\nTaught by SBDC business advisor\, Steve Richardson\n\nIn this workshop\, instructor Steve Richardson will outline how a small business works\, focusing on the 3 components that are true for every business. \n\n\n\nWeek 2: Understanding Your Financials (Session was recorded & available to registered attendees)\n\nTaught by SBDC business advisor\, Mike Huntley\n\nIn this workshop\, instructor Mike Huntley will de-mystify the language of the 3 key financial statements (balance sheet\, P&L\, and cash flow). Max will de-mystify the language of lending and clarify what steps need to be taken to identify the right type(s) of lender(s) for your particular needs.\n\n\n\nWeek 4: Live Q&A panel to address all that was discussed in the previous 3 workshops (Session was recorded & available to registered attendees)\n\nAttended by all of the instructors of the previous workshops (Steve Richardson\, Mike Huntley\, and Max Ordonez) and moderated by Long Beach SBDC director\, Brad Pollak. The focus of this "Live Q&A" is to answer any questions you might have from any of the previous workshops.
