MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

Hello Friends of HYC,

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want you to know that HYC is here to help! You are not alone with feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, and uncertainty. Life can be stressful and especially difficult during a crisis. Children and teens are also feeling the anxiety with all the changes of not being in school or not being able to spend time with their friends. It’s important to recognize within yourself as well as your family members when someone needs help. We all need to take the time to take care of our minds and body so that we can take care of others. It is important to do self-care, such as the suggestions below.

Self-Care Tips:

  • Talk to a professional
  • Take a walk or exercise
  • Listen to music
  • Talk to a friend
  • Eat healthy
  • Dance
  • Laugh with someone
  • Get plenty of rest
  • And most importantly, ask for help!

HYC is here if you or someone you love needs help! We are currently accepting new clients through our telehealth services. Please click on the flyer below to connect with our new online inquiry form for assistance or you can call our Liberty Plaza headquarters office at (562) 273-0722.
