Terre Des Hommes
A passenger on a flight is reading Terre des hommes. In his slumber, he meets the pioneer aviator and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (Le Petit Prince/The Little Prince). Together they relive the fabulous trips of this adventurer from his debut as airmail courier for the Aéropostale in 1920 to his crash in the Libyan desert in 1935. This theatrical adaptation of the philosophical memoirs and hymn to life, Terre des hommes (1939), will transport you into the skies of the African Sahara and the South American Andes with such themes as camaraderie, heroism, man’s dignity, and humanity. Terre des homes (Wind, Sand, Star) won the Grand Prix du roman de l’Académie française and the National Book Award. Adaptation & Mise en scène by André Nerman. Performed by Pascal Germain and André Nerman.
